been an industry leader in motion control systems and components
for commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, missiles,
spacecraft, marine craft and ground vehicles since 1933. HR
Textron line of products are used widely throughout the world
in fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and tilt-rotor aircraft; precision
guided missiles and munitions, unmanned air vehicles, spacecraft,
turbine engines and armored vehicles. Applications include primary,
secondary and other control actuators, fuel and pneumatic systems,
gun stabilization and fire control systems and automated test
and diagnostic systems.
Among the company's principal platforms are
the Boeing F18® E/F Super Hornet, C-17® and 747®
aircraft, the Bell/Boeing V-22 Osprey and Bell/Augusta
609® tilt-rotor aircraft, the NASA Space Shuttle, and
the Cessna Citation® X business jet. The Bell 206, 230,
212, 407, 427, and 430® as well as the Sikorsky-76, Cobra,
Kiowa, Huey and Apache® helicopters all depend on
HR Textron for primary or other critical flight control functions.
The company is also dedicated to the research,
design, development and production of motion control systems
and components for use by defense and other government agencies
worldwide. State-of-the-art control systems are critical components
of both Boeing's Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and Raytheon's
AIM 9-X Air-to-Air Missile. Additionally, Cadillac Gage Gun
Turret Drive Stabilization Systems provide shoot-on-the-move
accuracy to the General Dynamics Abrams Main Battle Tank.
